The museum occupies a restored early 20th-century customs building, originally constructed in 1906. Its distinctive brick façade and arched windows were preserved during the renovation led by architects Johan Celsing and Per Olof Hallman. With added modern features such as a glass atrium and updated infrastructure, the building now seamlessly unites history and innovation—a fitting reflection of photography itself.
