The Almgren Silk Weaving Mill in Stockholm is one of the best preserved industrial environments in Sweden. The factory is still manufacturing silk using the same machines that was purchased by Almgren some 170 years ago. The Almgren Silk-Weaving Mill in central Stockholm is the best preserved industrial premise in Scandinavia, producing silk for 170 years.

This silk factory in Stockholm is a unique and living display of the industrial revolution of Sweden in the early 1900th century, and it was once the largest employer for women in Scandinavia.

The silk mill is still in function using the very same machines that was bought in 170 years ago by Almgren.

Mon–Fri 10am–4pm, Sat–Sun 11am–3pm
Guided tours Mon, Wed, Sat & Sun at 1pm, also Mon at 6pm
