Situated on the beautiful island of Djurgården in central Stockholm, the museum gathers work from Edvard Munch, Bruno Liljefors, Anders Zorn, August Strindberg and more.

The building, built in 1905, is the former residence of the Thiel family and was bought by the Swedish state in 1924. Ernst Thiel was a close friend of several of the artists.

Opening hours

Closed until the 27th of December 2007 due to renovation.
Mon–Sat 12–4pm, Sun 1pm–4pm
Closed April 6-8, April 30, May 1 and June 22-24
