The Old Town


Map over the Old Town, or Gamla Stan as itīs called in Swedish. At the north east corner of this island you can see the Royal Castle.

Gamla Stan is the orignial Stockholm, founded in the 13th century. You simply canīt miss the historic aspect of this island with all its alleyways and cobbled streets. The center of Gamla Stan is Stortorget, a famous square where the Stockholm bloodbath took place in november of 1520.

Gamla Stan also houses the Stockholm Cathedral and the Royal Castle.
