Nynäshamn is a beautiful town situated 60 km south of Stockholm, next to the archipelago. Being located by the Baltic Sea, Nynäshamn became a port town since the beginning.
The municipality consists of 1.800 islands apart from the mainland areas. The port of Nynäshamn is where the ferries to the island of Gotland depart.
The area houses a considerable amount of historic remains like rune stones from the vikings.
